Senior Design Technician
Jason relocated from South Africa in 2019 and has become an integral member of the boon design team.
Jason is technically minded with a strong detail orientation. He obtained a Bachelor of Technology in Architectural Technology from the Durban University of Technology, along with a Diploma in Project Management, and is a New Zealand Licensed Building Practitioner (Design Level 3).
Jason works primarily on commercial projects, with a strong focus on healthcare. He has contributed to key developments including the New East Wing Building at Taranaki Base Hospital. His strengths lie in detailing, problem solving, and project delivery, with an emphasis on buildability, practicality, and achieving successful design outcomes.
Known for his calm and methodical approach, Jason is a strong mentor and contributes to the management of BOON’s technological systems. He is proficient in Revit, BIM 360, and AutoCAD. Outside of work, he enjoys disc golf.
