Pak'n'Save
New Plymouth
2019
The clever reconfiguration of Pak'n'Save's arrival hall has created space to add an extra avenue to their offering.
This interior refurbishment project has exceeded expectations with the sticky café becoming a bustling little space once occupied only by trolleys. The reconfiguration project also involved moving the lotto stand and creating an area to accommodate the increasing demand for click and collect groceries as well as a courier parcel area.
The stickman café is a simple space maximizing natural light through the existing window joinery to the west. The café has been given a natural sense of calm through the rough-sawn timber feature wall and use of greenery, albeit artificial for ease of maintenance.
The bespoke decal artwork is what really brings this café to life. Drawn by the talented Sam Design, it features all things Kiwiana and is an added visual stimulation to enjoy while replenishing your food and beverage stores.
