Paul originally from Ireland, studied in England at what is now known as De Montfort University. He gained a BA Honours degree, worked for a year as part of the sandwich course, and then after two more years gained a Post Graduate Degree. This allowed him to
register as a practicing Architect in the UK. Registration as a New Zealand Architect came in 1987.
Paul is respected for his integrity and strong work ethic. Having many years’ experience his designs are characterised by a strong sense of form, line and proportion. This along with good planning and technical abilities contributes towards successful projects for the company’s clients.
Work experience covers many project types, most notably in the healthcare and education sectors. He took on a key role that consolidated most of the Napier and Hastings hospital facilities on to the Hastings site to form Hawkes Bay Hospital. This complex multi-stage project was successfully completed below its $49 million budget.
Outside the office, Paul enjoys feeding his passion for travel and the unique experiences it brings. Summiting a 6,476m peak in Nepal on his second attempt was a recent highlight. At home DIY, fitness, trekking, cycling, and motor cycling occupy his spare time.
