Through our work and our people, we prioritise human experience – improving the environments we inhabit and how interactions take place.
Every project starts with a problem, not a blank page. A community that’s outgrown its spaces, a site with more constraints than answers, a brief that has to show a return on investment and one that works for the people who’ll actually use it – this is where BOON starts, and design comes in second, as the way we solve it.
We work across architecture, landscape, urban design and interiors – for clients across every market, from feasibility through to completion. Projects with a lot of moving parts are where we’re most useful: BOON has the experience and connections to coordinate the whole thing, holding the brief, and the team, together from first sketch to first occupancy.
BOON has been in business for over 50 years, working throughout New Zealand and beyond – today with studios in Taranaki, Waikato and Hawkes Bay. We are increasingly multidisciplinary, collaborative, and specialised in the way we engage with our clients and their projects, and our teams carry genuine, grounded experience for every region we work in.
Design has always been our business – a way of thinking that goes way beyond how a project looks – ensuring it meets the goals of its founders and people it serves.
Regional roots. National knowhow.
