At BOON, our strength has always been our people. As a multidisciplinary studio grounded in design thinking and collaboration, our team brings diverse experiences, fresh perspectives, and a shared commitment to shaping better communities.
We are thrilled to welcome three exceptional new team members to the studio—Katie-Rose Murphy, Tayla Stuthridge, and Dominic Pryce—each bringing their own unique skill set and vision to our practice.

Katie-Rose Murphy | Registered Architect Katie-Rose brings a wealth of specialised expertise in the education sector to BOON. Having built strong relationships with many local schools and the Ministry of Education, she pairs a thoughtful, design-led sensibility with grounded, practical experience in contract administration and site observation. Whether she is navigating high-level conceptual thinking or the finer details of technical execution and stakeholder engagement, Katie-Rose brings extra strength and capability to deliver outstanding educational environments.
Tayla Stuthridge | Architectural Graduate We love seeing local talent bring their expertise back home. Tayla returns to Taranaki after studying and working in Wellington, where she honed her skills within a large, fast-paced architectural environment. Her experience spans the entire design process—from early concept through to final delivery—with particular expertise in technical laboratory facilities. Tayla’s passion for localized design and community-focused outcomes is a perfect match for BOON’s commitment to meaningful, place-based architecture.
Dominic Pryce | Senior Architect and QMS Manager Dominic steps into BOON bringing a vast industry experience with an international project background. His experience is anchored in large-scale, technically demanding developments where coordination, communication, and pragmatic delivery are at the forefront.
Looking Ahead Each of these new team members enhances the breadth of experience within BOON, will contribute to studio culture and continue to drive quality project outcomes.
As we continue to evolve as a practice, it is our people who shape the way we think, design, and deliver. We are incredibly excited to see the lasting impact Katie-Rose, Tayla, and Dominic will have on the work we do.
Nau mai, haere mai ki BOON.
