We are pleased to share two significant leadership promotions within our design practice as we continue to evolve and strengthen our team. Kyle Arnold has been appointed as a Director, and Shaun Murphy has been promoted to Studio Manager. Both Kyle and Shaun have been integral to our studio’s success, and their promotion reflects their exceptional leadership, expertise, and dedication to our clients.

Kyle Arnold | Director
Previously serving as Associate Director and Studio Manager, Kyle has been a cornerstone of our practice’s operational and project success. As he steps into the role of Director, he will continue to strategically guide our team with his vast experience and forward-thinking approach.
- Exceptional Leadership: Kyle leads from the front with an astute approach and natural problem-solving ability.
- Industry Expertise: A leader in his field with extensive construction knowledge, Kyle excels in project leadership, design management, stakeholder engagement, and procurement.
- Results Focussed Delivery: He has a wealth of experience delivering highly technical and collaborative projects. His portfolio includes leading the technical delivery of the 2023 NZ Timber Awards Supreme Award Winner, Green School New Zealand, as well as major developments like the Triple net zero – Murihiku Marae in Invercargill and multiple complex upgrades across the Powerco Campus.
Shaun Murphy | Studio Manager
Stepping into the role of Studio Manager, Shaun brings over 15 years of service to our practice. Promoted to an Associate in 2019, Shaun is now perfectly positioned to lead studio operations, providing close support to our talented team.
- Local Roots and Passion: A Taranaki local educated at Francis Douglas Memorial College , Shaun is well connected to the community through sport and the arts.
- Professional Leadership: He holds a Master of Architecture with Honours and is a Registered Architect. He is also the current President of the New Plymouth Operatic Society.
- Team Management: Shaun is highly adept at managing teams with multiple stakeholders and contractors. He has successfully led significant community and commercial projects, including acting as Project Architect for the new Owae Marae Wharekai and serving as Project Principal for the masterplanning and staged upgrades to the historic TSB Showplace.
